Itinerary

Day 1 – Cairo – Alexendria

Cairo. Upon arrival, Veena World Tour Manager will guide all guests for airport formalities and proceed to Alexandria – second-largest city in Egypt and a major economic centre.

Upon arrival, we enjoy Alexandria city, we visit Roman Amphitheatre – an impressively well-preserved structure composed of 13 terraces constructed in the traditional Greek style with a flat stage in the centre of the lowest level, The Catacombs – a historical archaeological site located in Alexandria and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. These catacombs make up the largest-known Roman burial site in Egypt, Pompeii’s Pillar – a Roman triumphal column in Alexandria and is one of the largest monoliths of the ancient times.

Day 2 - Alexandria – Cairo

Today we proceed to Cairo – Egypt’s sprawling capital. Upon arrival we enjoy Cairo city, we visit World Famous Egyptian Museum – home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. Further we visit The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization – The first museum in Arab world focusing on the earliest civilization in history. Later we enjoy the wonderful and spectacular view of Cairo city from Cairo tower observatory deck.

Day 3 – Cairo

Today we visit The Great Pyramids of Giza – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was built as tombs for the mighty Pharaohs and is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We enter the second Pyramid to see what lies inside. Later we take a photo stop at the giant figure of Sphinx – a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human.

Day 4 - Cairo – Abu Simbel – Aswan – Nile Cruise

Today we travel from Cairo to Abu Simbel by flight. Abu Simbel – a village in the Egyptian part of Nubia, is best known as the site of the Abu Simbel temples. Upon arrival we visit The Great Temples of Abu Simbel- a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple was originally carved into solid rock cliffs but was relocated in the 1960s on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Aswan High Dam reservoir so that it won’t be submerged by the Aswan High Dam. In the afternoon, we travel from Abu Simbel to Aswan by flight. Aswan – Egypt’s strategic and commercial gateway since antiquity. Upon arrival we pass by Old Dam and High Dam – which provides irrigation and electricity to the whole of Egypt. Later we embark the Nile cruise – the best way to see the incredible ruins of Ancient Egypt and modern life along the banks of river Nile.

Day 5 - On board – Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu – On board

Today we explore Aswan city. We enjoy a beautiful Boat Ride to visit the Temple of Philae on Isis Island – built to honour the goddess Isis, this was the last temple built in the classical Egyptian style. Later we continue our day by sailing to Kom Ombo – an agricultural town in Egypt. Upon arrival, we visit Ptolemaic Temple – one of the Nile Valley’s most beautifully sited temples. It is dedicated to two gods; the local crocodile god Sobek, and Haroeris. In the evening, we sail to Edfu – was a flourishing Greek city in ancient times. Today the city is rich with history and a commercial town.

Day 6 - On board – Edfu – Esna – Luxor – On board

Today we visit Temple of Horus – This Ptolemaic temple, is one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus, it consists of elements of both Egyptian temples and Greek architecture. Later we sail to Luxor via Esna. Luxor is an Ancient Egyptian capital, is known today as the world’s greatest open-air museum. Upon arrival we visit Karnak temple – a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Temple complex is home to three main temples, several smaller enclosed temples, and a number of outer temples – combining the achievements of many generations of ancient builders over a period of 1500 years. Later we visit Luxor temple – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as the Southern Sanctuary and is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship.

Day 7 - On board – Luxor – (Disembark the cruise) – Hurghada

Today we disembark the cruise at Luxor. Upon arrival we visit Valley of Kings – also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings. It is the ancient burial ground of many of Egypt’s New Kingdom rulers, Hatshepsut temple – Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, is one of the world’s most striking architectural masterpieces, Colossi of Memnon -The twin colossi (which no longer resemble twins) depict the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who ruled during the 18th Dynasty. Later we proceed to Hurghada- a beach resort town stretching along Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Day 8 – Hurghada

Today morning we enjoy a Dolphin watching cruise followed by a beautiful walk through Marina Hurghada.

Day 9 - Hurghada – Cairo – Departure

Today we proceed to Cairo.
It’s time now to say goodbye, Phir Milenge!
